Rating haiku is tricky—
Very subjective.

friends to “Columbia Homecoming,”
I remarked several times that I find it difficult to evaluate haiku.
Because the form is so terse, the reader has a much larger role in
assigning meaning than is the case for a typical Western poem. This
realization led me to jot down this haiku about haiku. (Written
