Dorsey McConnell has turned out to be a better bishop than I expected when he was first elected Bishop of Pittsburgh. On occasion, however, he has disappointed me. In fact, he has done so twice lately. One instance is quite specific—he was one of the sponsors of General Convention Resolution B012, which, mercifully, has largely been rewritten in the House of Deputies. The other instance raises questions that go beyond the Diocese of Pittsburgh. I discuss these issues in my latest blog post “Two Complaints about Bishop McConnell.” I hope readers will not find this essay disagreeable. It is offered in the names of accountability and greater transparency.
