Now that the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh has fractured, one might expect that each side would go about its own business, interfering as little as possible with the other side, though while nonetheless pursuing possession of the diocesan property. Apparently, however, warfare against fellow Christians is too ingrained a habit to be kicked by the dissenters cold turkey. The Rev. David Wilson, who preached a surprisingly irenic sermon at the October 4 diocesan convention, has launched a cynical postcard attack on my own parish. Read “The Ground War” on my blog at http://blog.deimel.org/2008/10/ground-war.htm, and enjoy the pictures of the postcard that is the weapon of choice for Wilson’s new parish.

Best regards,
Lionel
