Date: October 8th 2008

Six years ago, at the start of a bitter period in the life of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh, I wrote a poem called “Christian Unity.” My latest blog post recalls the context in which that poem was written. The unity of which I wrote was, of course, shattered in this diocese last weekend. You can read my post at http://blog.deimel.org/2008/10/christian-unity.htm, which includes links to the resolution, in its original and final form, that led to the establishment of Progressive Episcopalians of Pittsburgh.

Best regards,
Lionel
