Dr. Joan Gundersen, president of Progressive Episcopalians of Pittsburgh and a member of the Across the Aisle steering committee, has written a brief essay that was posted on the House of Bishops and Deputies e-mail list this morning. Joan intended to explain how Episcopalians in Pittsburgh are plannning to save our diocese from the depredations of the “realignment” crowd. Since the HoB/D list does not have a public archive, and since Joan’s essay deserves to be widely read, I asked her for permission to post it on my blog. You can find it, with a minimum amount of comment from me, as a new blog post called “Gundersen Offers Pittsburgh Update” at http://blog.deimel.org/2008/09/gundersen-offers-pittsburgh-update.htm. Happy reading!

Best regards,
Lionel
