Last week, a conservative, the Rev. Dr. Jay Geisler, attended a Progressive Episcopalians of Pittsburgh meeting as the featured speaker. This is a manifestation of a new phenomenon: liberal, moderate, and conservative Pittsburgh Episcopalians are beginning to talk to one another and to plan for a new and less confrontational Diocese of Pittsburgh to follow what seems like an inevitable schism. And Geisler had some interesting things to say. Read my blog post, “A Pittsburgh Conversation” at http://deimel.org/commentary/blogger/2008/05/pittsburgh-conversation.htm.
