There has been too much talk about the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s having “pulled” an issue of its magazine from the Web because it contained a “prophesy” embraced by Bishop Duncan. The implication has been that the bishop or his staff were backpedaling on the prophesy and were trying to sweep the bishop’s original comments under the rug. My latest post, “Even I Am Not That Paranoid,” debunks this idea. Someone just made an HTML error in posting the latest issue of Trinity, the diocesan magazine. Why did no one call the diocese before spinning conspiracy theories? You can read my post at http://deimel.org/commentary/blogger/2008/04/even-i-am-not-that-paranoid.htm.
